The client wanted an alluring and sensual design, juxtaposing the old and new with emphasis on touch. For example: the fabrics and finishes needed to be tactile, and also the two building styles within the same floor needed to become cohesive and link together in a flow of spaces. This cohesion of design needed to run through not just the 9 hotel suites but also the open plan restaurant and bar.
