Architects’ own house is made of contrasts. White cubic solids and a strip of dark Corten metal sheet are juxtaposed and can be seen from the street. Huge glazing form garden elevation which blurs the frontier between the exterior and the interior.
Private and public spheres are clearly divided. The study and the studio are connected and become an independent part in the front of the house. On the other hand, the living room and the day room with the kitchenette are located in the back of the house. Sliding windows allow to combine the living room with the garden. Panoramic windows on the first floor ensure maximum sunlight in the bedroom and guestrooms.
Bright interiors are hidden behind monolithic, windowless facade. Rust, snow-white walls and cool glass sheets are a perfect, minimalistic frame for a picturesque greenery of a lime alley nearby.
