In an immersive exhibition showcasing the world in 2071, visitors are invited to explore three in-world experiences, distributed in 3 distinct but interconnected chapters: Starting with OSS Hope, mankind’s largest man-made object in space, followed by the HEAL Institute, an organisation that has the task of regenerating damaged and endangered ecosystems, to finally conclude with AL WAHA, the wellbeing centre of the future.
Exhibition floors have distinct spatial features that translate their in-world narrative, including 3D-printed surfaces at OSS Hope and rattan palm walls at Al-Waha.
Visitors are presented with an overview of current challenges and projects. They are invited to sign-up and contribute through recruitment stations at the end of each experience. Throughout the exhibition, the visitors are involved in either solving a problem or finding new ways to do it. At the end they can drop their wishes for the future into a basin built into the wall, concluding the journey from Outer to Inner space. The experience touches on subjects and narratives that are relevant in the present day and foreseen to still be the challenges that we will face in the future.
The experience is both informative and transformative and calls on the visitors embark upon an expedition to a future for which they will, through individual choices, become part of a collective effort to create a better future for all humanity.
