Nowadays, as me know it, the world is more and more polluted. Some people are using the bike as a solution against this problem, some are using it because It become a faster moving means or also for the sport. Today, we can find a lot of different bikes users who have the same problem when they are going to the park, to attach them at the entrance of this one without keeping an eye on it.
Nowadays, people are afraid of everything because of the world which is going down and down. Many bikes are stolen near the park and having an eye on them will reassure people and will be able to relax themselves without concerns.

The Parc de l’Ermitage Saint-Catherine is a park of 400 hectares. Unfortunately, one of its entrance is a wasteland and it is not really attractive because of the state of it. So, the purpose was to redeveloping the entrance and mostly to guide the visitors to the center of the park where the lake is the central point of it.
To conduct the clients and also to help the bikes users, the concept was to create different modules which can have different fonctions in order to be useful for all the visitors.
Flumen is a concept of modules with organic forms allowing visitors to the park to attach their bikes throughout the many structures. The modules will induce a course in order that the guests are guided to the center of the park, at the lake level.
From the Latin «stream», Flumen facilitates bike users in the parks. Indeed, thanks to its organic forms reminiscent of the Garonne and the surrounding vegetation, they can attach their bikes safely and having an eye on it. Moreover, It can settle of the park’s environment thanks to its materials, people can use the modules as a sit or as a guide to directly go the lake.
(At the beginning, the modules were made of wood and copper. Indeed, copper, with the time, will have a different colour from brown to green named green-grey. Thanks to these materials, the concept evolves with the environment and adapts itself compared to the time. But, for security reasons, it was better to remove the copper because of the green-grey which become toxic.)
Timothée Pignoux
Timothée Pignoux is a french space designer born in Pau, in the South West of the France. Interested by all the forms of creation, he decides to study at the the École de Condé – Créasud based in Bordeaux, France. Over-there, he discovers many things through the fashion, graphic, product and mostly space design. Despite his interest for all these types of design, he lingers on the space design thanks to its potential of creation and being able to help others with a specific way of thinking.
As a creator, he decides through his projects to create a better world for everybody by analyzing the needs and the problems of nowadays and respecting as much as possible the environment. Attracted by the nature and the relation that It can play in our future world, he decided after his graduation, to move to another country to see a different culture and a professional world close to his vision and his conception of architecture. That is why, today, Timothée Pignoux is working as an intern in the international agency of VenhoevenCS based in Amsterdam, Netherlands which as a lot of issues concerning the durability and the vision of the world of tomorrow.
