The project communicates an attentive attention to the preciousness that the historical context has for the city of Este. The interventions were designed in harmony with the existing situation.

Therefore, the existing paths have been rearranged using materials already present inside the castle, trying to make usable areas difficult to use today.
The realization of the new flooring has the objective of improving the use of the spaces allowing accessibility to areas of the castle that are difficult to reach today and above all with a view to reducing the architectural barriers present.
The visible facing finish foreseen for the new partitions, allows to recognize the new intervention and to integrate it to the existing one, as well as the corten steel boxes that house the new technological equipment, without generating a “historical forgery”.
