This space, located in Insa-dong, SEOUL, has high control under 4th floor with 60% of the building-to-land ratio. the main challenge for this project is HOW could we create the space covered for various formation of contemporary art exhibitions on such limited site.
Participant Name: Seung yong Yuk
University: Sahmyook University, Korea
Country: South Korea
To solve the problem, we decided to include the flow of human traffic itself into gallery space. Specifically, each exhibition rooms and art pieces will be hanged to each floor’s structural frame, being able to actively correspond to contemporary art exhibition.
Also, we want to add some greens to the space for the purpose of forging enough urban greens to the city of SEOUL by combining art and nature effectively.
