Keeping the culture of the area as authentic as possible, an attempt was made to work around the fundamental basic in architecture, by adding similar structures to the existing palace surrounding and overall site. The overall look and feel of the palace has its unique charm, which has always been used as a benchmark for adding structure to the site.Although each structure has been designed independently over time, the basic existing architectural elements were always used as precedents. Each independent structure is also connected by the passages, giving the site the feel of oneness. The guest rooms are overlooking the pool side and also the horse riding track. The passages, horse riding track and water body in the courtyard give the residents satisfying delights of the palace property.

The hotel is an elegant eddifce encompassing classical Greek, British Colonial and Italian renaissance architecture. Situated on the top of Shamla Hill, it offers a breathtaking view of the city below. The hotel area covers five acres of lush green gardens. The gleaming white façade has boldness and simplicity of style that is striking and exudes an air of timeless graciousness. It offers the flexibility of a 100 guest rooms, including six suites. Many offer views of the swimming pool and the horse riding track, while most open into lush green landscaped courtyards. Epitomishing stylish residential comfort, all accommodations feature local traditional ethnic fabrics and furnishings in soft earth tones, as well as indigenous tribal art work. The tranquil décor reflective of art deco and classical styles is evocative of the colonial past. The structure is typically colonial with wide verandahs connecting each one of the different areas of the site.
