This road is most often perceived as a path that one wants to overcome as soon as possible. Our goal of creating a tourist route between Moscow and Sochi is to turn the road into a part of the journey.

Federal highways are often huge linear objects connecting major cities. But it is important for us to show that the road is valuable in itself. The route passes through places that have preserved the memory of the local culture of small settlements. It is also an exquisite road, where you can see amazing natural objects, and along the way, the climatic zones change from north to south.

Thus, traveling by car allows you to become an explorer of nature and its influence on local culture. The innovation of the project lies in the fact that it covers the most popular tourist destination – from the capital to the South Sea, which means that it is always in demand. By forming spaced points of attraction, it creates a reserve of jobs, supports local producers and historical crafts. This can become the basis for local development and demonstrate the value of natural locations.

The aim of the project was to analyze the route and identify amusing places that could become new points of interest and local economic growth. It was important to fill the popular destination with the infrastructure elements for car and motorcycle trips (overnight accommodations, recreation areas, viewing platforms, food points) and distribute them along the route.

As a result, we designed unique architectural solutions that could draw attention to developing unique natural and man-made places. From many potentially significant points for tourism, we selected 15 locations in accordance with the uniformity of their location, functionality, tourist demand, popularity, and accessibility. The developed points are only a part of the large volume of sites concentrated along the highway, which can be developed in the future.
