The result is a contemporary architectural building that deploys aesthetic criteria consistent with Qatari architectural style and motifs, creating a tourist attraction in the city of Al Dakhira.


The seashell shape was chosen to symbolize the ancient art of fishing, as the State of Qatar was one of the first fishing nations in the past, where this profession was its lifeblood.

Bin Ghanem Island , located on the eastern coast of the State of Qatar, was famous in the past for the ancient art of pearl diving and for the production of crimson dye (extracted from seashells), where 2.9 million red to dark red dye-producing shells were discovered .
