Electric Owl Studios (EOS) is the world’s first purpose-built LEED Gold-certified film and TV studio located in Atlanta, Georgia. Here, everything stems from the simple mantra, “people and planet first.” From sustainable design to thoughtful services and care, this statement also influenced the design of graphics, monuments, wayfinding, and building signage.

Inspired by Atlanta’s history as a rail hub, the name “Electric Owl” comes from the 20th-century nickname for the night operator of a trainyard who ensured the safety and well-being of the lot. In addition to drawing a connection to local history, this name emphasizes EOS’s commitment to stewardship of their customers as well as their community.
Creating an environment that is welcoming and immersive, the brand elements and colors seen throughout the campus embrace the raw creative energy of film industry makers with an approachable and familiar tone. The result is a real sense of community for not only the production crews and talent that will interact with these spaces for weeks and months at a time, but also for the Dekalb County residents and students who come to learn about filmmaking and environmental responsibility in an industry that can be notoriously wasteful. Embodying passion and grit, coolness and playfulness, comfort and aspiration, the visual story of EOS infuses natural, hand-crafted imperfection with vibrant personality. Designed to spark joy as you experience each detail, Electric Owl Studios is anything but your average bird.
