Content Policy

RTF Awards — Content Policy

This Policy governs all content submitted to, and published on, awards.re-thinkingthefuture.com. It forms part of our Terms & Conditions.

1. Purpose

This Content Policy sets the standards for all material submitted to RTF Awards programmes — project sheets, texts, images, drawings, videos and form entries ("Submitted Content") — and explains how Rethinking The Future ("RTF") publishes, edits and moderates content on this website.

2. Your content must be yours

You may only submit content that you created or hold full rights to use. Before submitting, you must secure every permission needed for worldwide publication — including from clients, project collaborators, consultants, photographers and any identifiable individuals. Photographer and collaborator credits supplied by you are published as provided; the accuracy of all credits and project data is solely your responsibility.

3. Prohibited content

Submitted Content must not:

  • infringe any copyright, trademark, design right, confidentiality obligation or other third-party right;
  • misrepresent authorship, the project’s status (built/concept), location, scale, client or the submitting firm’s role;
  • contain unlawful, defamatory, obscene, hateful, discriminatory, violent or harassing material;
  • contain malware, spam, hidden links, tracking code or promotional material unrelated to the entry;
  • breach the anonymity requirements of the Submission Kit while judging is in progress.

Renders, visualisations and AI-assisted imagery are welcome in concept categories but must be identified truthfully as such and must not be passed off as photographs of built work.

4. Our editorial rights

RTF may edit, crop, retitle, translate, reformat, excerpt or decline to publish any Submitted Content, at its sole discretion, for editorial, technical or legal reasons. Publication of an entry, feature or credit is at RTF’s discretion and may be changed or withdrawn at any time. Nothing on this website constitutes an endorsement of any firm, product or project by RTF.

5. Removal, corrections and takedown requests

RTF may remove or amend any content on this website at any time without notice. If you believe content on this site infringes your rights, or if you require a factual correction to a published credit, email [email protected] with the page link, your relationship to the content, and evidence supporting the request. We review good-faith requests promptly; the decision whether and how to act remains with RTF. Where content was published based on information supplied by a participant, that participant remains responsible for any claim arising from it.

6. Third-party links

This website may link to external websites. RTF does not control and is not responsible for their content or practices.

7. Consequences of breach

Content that breaches this Policy may be removed, and the associated registration, entry or title may be cancelled under Clause 7 of the Terms & Conditions, without refund and without any obligation on RTF to justify the decision. Serious or unlawful breaches may be reported to the relevant authorities.
