Terms & Conditions

RTF Awards — Terms of Participation

These Terms apply to awards.re-thinkingthefuture.com and every RTF Awards programme hosted on it, including the Global Architecture & Design Awards (GADA).

1. Acceptance of these Terms

By accessing this website, registering for, entering, or otherwise participating in any awards programme organised by Rethinking Internet Media Pvt Ltd, operating as Rethinking The Future ("RTF", "we", "us"), you ("the Participant") agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions in full. If you do not accept these Terms, do not register or submit an entry. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between RTF and the Participant in relation to the awards and supersede any prior communication or representation.

2. The Organiser

The RTF Awards, including GADA, are organised and administered solely by RTF. RTF alone defines the awards calendar, categories, fees, submission requirements, evaluation methodology, jury composition and results.

3. Eligibility — by invitation to the profession

Participation is invited exclusively from practising architects, architectural and design firms, interior designers, landscape and urban designers, and students of these disciplines. Registration on this website is an application to participate, not a right to participate. RTF reserves the absolute right, at its sole discretion and at any stage, to decline, reject or cancel any registration or entry — before or after payment, judging or announcement — without stating reasons. Entries submitted by persons outside the invited professions, entries containing false or misleading information, and entries submitted by automated means may be removed without notice.

4. Registrations, fees and payments

Entry fees are payable per category at the rates displayed at the time of registration and are processed through PayPal. All fees are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable in every circumstance, including withdrawal by the Participant, failure to submit materials by the deadline, rejection or disqualification of an entry, or cancellation of participation under Clause 7. Any bank charges, currency-conversion costs and taxes (including any withholding or local taxes) are the Participant’s sole responsibility. Initiating a payment dispute or chargeback without first contacting us at [email protected] constitutes a material breach of these Terms and results in immediate disqualification of all associated entries and a permanent ban from future RTF programmes.

5. Entries and submission requirements

  • Entries must comply with the current Submission Kit, including format, sheet count, word limits, anonymity requirements and deadlines. Non-compliant entries may be excluded from judging without refund.
  • The Participant warrants that the entry is their own original work (or that of the entering firm), that they hold, or have secured, all rights, licences, releases and permissions necessary for its submission and publication — including from clients, collaborators, photographers and any identifiable persons — and that the entry does not infringe any third-party right or any law.
  • Submitted materials will not be returned. It is the Participant’s responsibility to submit correct files; RTF is not obliged to notify Participants of errors in their submissions.

6. Judging, results and confidentiality of process

Evaluation is carried out by jurors and reviewers appointed by RTF, under a methodology determined by RTF. All aspects of the evaluation process are confidential. RTF is under no obligation to disclose — publicly or to any Participant — scores, rankings, jury deliberations, individual juror assessments, the number of entries received in any category, shortlisting logic, or any other statistics or internal information relating to its processes. All decisions, including decisions on eligibility, category placement, shortlisting, winners and titles, are final and binding, and no correspondence, feedback, review or appeal will be entered into. RTF may reassign an entry to a more appropriate category, and may decline to name a winner in any category.

7. Our right to cancel participation

RTF reserves the unconditional right to suspend, cancel or annul any registration, entry, shortlisting, title or award — at any time, including retrospectively — where RTF, at its sole discretion, considers that the Participant has breached these Terms, provided false information, infringed third-party rights, attempted to influence the jury or the process, engaged in abusive, defamatory, threatening or fraudulent conduct, or where RTF otherwise considers cancellation appropriate to protect the integrity or reputation of the programme. RTF is not obliged to provide reasons, explanations or documentation for any such decision, and no refund or compensation is payable.

8. Licence to publish

Participants retain ownership of their submitted work. By entering, each Participant grants RTF a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, non-exclusive licence to reproduce, publish, adapt, translate, communicate and display the submitted materials (in whole or in part), the project and firm names and Participant names, in any media, for the purposes of operating, judging, announcing and promoting the awards and RTF’s platforms and publications, with reasonable credit to the Participant. Participants waive any claim to remuneration for such use.

9. Titles, logos and winner materials

Award titles, winner badges and logos remain RTF’s intellectual property and are licensed to winners for truthful, non-misleading use in connection with the winning project only. Misuse — including implying an award that was not conferred — may result in revocation of the title under Clause 7. Certificates and winner materials are provided in digital form; any physical items, where offered, are shipped at the recipient’s cost and risk, with customs duties payable by the recipient.

10. Programme changes

RTF may modify deadlines, categories, fees, jury composition, prizes and any other element of a programme, and may postpone, suspend or cancel a programme in whole or in part, where RTF deems it necessary. If a programme edition is cancelled in its entirety before judging begins, the Participant’s sole and exclusive remedy is a refund of the entry fee actually paid for that edition. RTF is not liable for any other loss arising from such changes.

11. Conduct and prohibited behaviour

Participants and visitors must not: harass, threaten or abuse RTF staff, jurors or other participants; attempt to contact or influence jurors regarding evaluation; misrepresent authorship or credentials; use bots, scrapers or automated tools on this website; interfere with the website’s operation or security; or submit unlawful, defamatory or infringing content. Breach of this clause is grounds for immediate cancellation under Clause 7 and a permanent ban, and RTF may report unlawful conduct to relevant authorities.

12. Warranties and indemnity

The Participant agrees to indemnify, defend and hold harmless RTF, its directors, employees, jurors and partners from and against all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to the Participant’s entry, their breach of these Terms, or their violation of any law or third-party right.

13. Limitation of liability

The website and the awards are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, RTF’s total aggregate liability to a Participant arising out of or in connection with the awards or these Terms shall not exceed the entry fees actually paid by that Participant for the edition concerned, and RTF shall in no event be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive loss, loss of profit, business, reputation or data. RTF is not responsible for failures caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including payment-provider, hosting or email failures, or force majeure events.

14. Privacy and communications

Personal data submitted through this website is used to administer the awards, process payments, and communicate about RTF programmes, in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By registering, you consent to receive service and programme-related emails from RTF; you may opt out of promotional messages at any time.

15. Website and RTF intellectual property

All content on this website — including text, design, graphics, logos and the RTF and GADA names — is the property of RTF or its licensors and may not be copied, scraped or reused without prior written permission.

16. General

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid, the remainder continues in full force. RTF’s failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it. The Participant may not assign their rights under these Terms; RTF may assign or subcontract its rights and obligations. RTF may update these Terms at any time by publishing the revised version on this page; continued participation constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

17. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the awards shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at New Delhi, India.
