The process begins with a study of spatial and functional relationship in a standard hotel before analyzing the site context to find actual urban problems such as high density of activities and limited views. To solve such problems, each unit has extended opening with perforated panels as the facade system. This solution not only allows more views, but also protects inhabitants from heat and intense sunlight.

Collaborating with Savannah College of Art and Design in Atlanta, the hotel is an idea place for SCAD parents to stay while walking around midtown. Orientation events, open studio workshops, and students’ exhibitions are also held at the hotel. This not only represents SCAD’s images, but also strengthens the relationship between SCAD and the city.
