The clients asked for a modern-day family housing to accommodate families of three brothers. A common space was asked for, where every family on each floor can interact with one another every now and then, with the floor plate of each level remaining the same. The brief mentioned that the house should not be requiring any artificial lighting until the sun sets down. And also, ways of reducing the overall running costs of the house.

Each floor has to accommodate four bedrooms, with attached dressers and toilets. A separate formal living, foyer, puja room, family lounge, dining and kitchen (along with store and utility). Also a large multipurpose hall was asked for, to accommodate seventy to eighty guests at a time during various festivals and parties.
