Inspired by the kinetic energy and vibrant diversity of Bangkok’s street life, our “Heart of Bangkok” concept immerses guests in a dynamic environment that reflects the city’s vibrant urban landscape. This theme is intricately woven through every design choice, from the layout to material selection, creating a memorable atmosphere that resonates with Moxy’s youthful demographic.

A standout feature is our homage to the iconic Scala movie theatre. Although the theatre itself has been removed, its cultural footprint is preserved and reinterpreted within the hotel’s design, offering guests a contemporary experience of historic Bangkok. This gesture not only preserves local heritage but also enriches the guest’s connection to the city.

The hotel utilises a mix of exposed concrete, wood, and colourful accents. Concrete brings an industrial chic that harmonises with the urban context, while wood infuses warmth, creating inviting spaces that offer comfort amidst the city’s hustle. Vibrant colours and bold patterns inject playfulness, aligning with Moxy’s brand ethos and enhancing the aesthetic appeal, making every corner of the hotel visually stimulating and Instagram-worthy.

The spatial arrangement of the hotel fosters a seamless experience. From the multifunctional bar that doubles as a check-in area to the adaptable Moxy truck serving as both a bar and a DJ booth, the design promotes not just aesthetics but also functional innovation. This setup ensures that the guest’s journey through the hotel is fluid, engaging, and full of surprises, optimised for both relaxation and social interaction.

Despite facing site constraints our design strategically utilised every square inch to maximise functionality without compromising on style or guest comfort. The design team skillfully navigated all challenges, delivering a project that not only meets but exceeds expectations.

The project is a testament to innovative design through its incorporation of Thai cultural elements and local artistry. This not only celebrates Bangkok’s rich heritage but also offers guests an authentic and immersive cultural experience. The integration of flexible spaces like co-working areas and social lounges speaks to a deep understanding of modern travellers’ needs, showcasing our commitment to practical and forward-thinking design solutions.

Addressing sustainability, the hotel incorporates green spaces that enhance ecological value and improve air quality, promoting a healthier environment. Practicality is woven into every aspect of the hotel’s design, with multi-functional spaces that adapt to various guest needs, from work to wellness to leisure.
