Georgian Bar Association Head Office | Tsutskiridze Architectural Bureau [tab]

Project area is located in Tbilisi, Georgia. The plot of the land has no uniform relief and is a rise, from where the magnificent view of the city can be seen. The area itself, where the building is to be placed, is literally flat and free of plants.

The location of the plot and also its structure, as a result of the pre-project research, were specially selected by the author of the project in view of the fact that it represented the architectural concept foundation and inspiration of the project. As you are aware, project building is the office of Georgian Bar Association, City Court and Prosecutor’s office buildings are located in the area adjacent to the project area, meaning the area is an ideal place for the project building and its function. Due to the functional complexity as well as the urban layout, outlines three functional points – Court, Prosecutor’s office and Georgian Bar Association. This plan gave the author the inspiration for the office to be in a shape of a triangle.

The project building is a structural architecture, a combination of concrete and glass. The structural part of the building is a reinforced concrete frame, which consists of concrete columns, floor tiles and monolithic concrete walls, which are not covered and the facade remains of architectural concrete, the brutality of which is facilitated by glass stained glass.

The building has 2 floors and the roof is an exploitable terrace, part of which is planted with greenery. The public spaces in the building are open, with the main idea being the atrium, which covers both floors. Both floors of the building are for office purposes, are designed in accordance with the client and functional requirements, as well as adaptable, and safety norms for people with disabilities. The territory is harmoniously combined with landscape.
