Architects have defined their concept as a ‘mobile veil’ that adapts to changing building applications.

An unusual facade is a central element of the newly established Shanghai Financial Center in Shanghai.

The building was built on the basis of a project jointly worked by experts from the architectural firm Norman Foster and Thomas Hearthwick’s design studio.

The 4000 square meter building was inspired by the architecture of traditional Chinese theaters.

The facade is made of various lengths of stainless steel Rose Gold, hanging in three overlapping layers, creating a semi-transparent impression, revealing views from windows and balconies.

The mechanical system allows you to slide and slide out the tubes, giving the façade a dynamic character. Depending on your needs, they reveal, for example, a balcony, serving as a scene.

This, apart from fulfilling the role of theater, serves, among others. Also as an exhibition center (one of the exhibition halls is on the roof). Fantastic visual impression is also provided by the material itself, through which the building looks like a jewel.
